A heartbreaking plane crash claimed the lives of seven members of the beloved gospel family, the Nelons. Among the victims were Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, their daughter Amber, her husband Nathan Kistler, close family friend Melanie Hodges, and the pilot, Larry Haynie, along with his wife, Melissa. Their sudden passing has left the gospel music community in shock and mourning.
The sole family member spared from the tragedy was Autumn Nelon Streetman, who wasn’t on the flight. In a deeply emotional message, she expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of prayers and support, asking for continued strength during this unimaginable loss.
The Nelons were en route to Alaska to participate in the Gaither Homecoming Cruise when their plane tragically crashed in Wyoming. Horrified witnesses reported seeing the plane engulfed in flames as it plummeted to the ground. Despite the swift response of emergency personnel, none of the passengers survived the crash.
