Len Goodman, beloved judge of “Dancing With the Stars,” has died at 78. He passed away Saturday in a Kent hospice, surrounded by family, after a long battle with bone cancer, his manager confirmed. Born in London in 1944, Goodman began dancing at 19, becoming a professional before joining TV. He judged “Dancing With the Stars” from 2005 to 2018 and played a key role in the show’s success.
Goodman also headlined BBC’s “Strictly Come Dancing” from 2004 to 2016, leaving a lasting legacy. Tributes, including those from BBC’s Tim Davie and co-judge Bruno Tonioli, celebrated his warmth and talent. Beyond TV, he ran the Goodman Dance Academy and authored several books. Goodman’s charm and passion made him a cherished figure who will be deeply missed.
