Near Calgary, a group of Good Samaritans rescued a young horse trapped in a muddy marshland after it wandered off during heavy rain.
Darla Connelly, who was overseeing the new herd, feared the unfamiliar terrain could pose a risk, and her concerns were confirmed when the two-year-old mare became stuck.
Volunteers from Help Alberta Wildlife Society responded swiftly, using ATVs and specialized equipment to free the struggling horse.
