A 32-year-old woman, Mandy K, was attacked by a polar bear at the Berlin Zoo after jumping into their enclosure during feeding time.
She climbed over a fence and wall before leaping in, sustaining bites to her arms, legs, and back. Six zookeepers managed to rescue her after distracting the bear.
Mandy K, now recovering in the hospital after surgery, was struggling to find a job, which led to her desperate actions.
