Donald Trump has won the 2024 US presidential election in a close race against Kamala Harris, securing key swing states like Wisconsin. Before the November 5 count, polls showed both candidates neck-and-neck in crucial states, leaving the outcome uncertain.
At his Florida watch party, Trump declared victory early, calling his win the “greatest political movement ever.” Now serving as the 47th president, he promised America a “golden age” and praised Elon Musk as a “new star,” vowing to “help our country heal.” His wife Melania, family, campaign team, and supporters, including JD Vance and Dana White, joined him on stage as he celebrated.
Trump also announced a Republican takeover of the Senate, calling it “good news” for the country. During his campaign, he repeated his slogan “Promises made, promises kept,” calling the presidency the “most important job in the world.”
