Hurricane Rafael Strikes Caribbean and Cuba
Hurricane Rafael intensified Tuesday night, brushing past Jamaica before reaching the Cayman Islands with 75 mph winds. It’s set to move northwest, impacting western Cuba by Wednesday with rapid intensification expected.
The Cayman Islands and Cuba’s western regions are under hurricane advisories, with heavy rainfall predicted to spread into Florida by mid-week.

Aftermath in Cuba
Rafael hit Cuba as a Category 3 hurricane, causing severe power outages. It has now weakened to a Category 2, entering the Gulf of Mexico.
